Developed for the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence, the L129A1 Reference Rifle is the civilian counterpart to the original contracted L129A1 weapon system.
Utilizes the LMT patented modular weapon system(MWS) constructed from a single aluminum forging. The upper receiver features an uninterrupted picatinny rail at the 12 o’clock position along with rails on the 3, 9 and 6 o’clock positions. The barrel is held in place by a proprietary locking system using 2 bolts accessible from the side of the receiver. This system allows the user to install a barrel chambered in 7.62x51mm, .243 WIN, .260 REM, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08 REM or .338 Federal(optional barrels not included).
